Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 215, Article IV, Section 215.14 of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Hudson Falls, New York notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Planning Board of the Village of Hudson Falls, County of Washington and State of New York, on the 26th day of October, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. in the Village Hall, 220 Main Street, Hudson Falls, New York on the following matter:

Request by Lacey O’Neil, 4 Abair Road, Whitehall, NY 12887 to open a beauty salon with a studio apartment above to be located at 6 Boulevard, Hudson Falls, NY 12839. Plans for the proposal are available at Village Hall, 220 Main Street, Hudson Falls, New York during regular business hours.

Notice of Public Hearings – June 8, 2020

LEGAL NOTICE – The Village of Hudson Falls will hold a public hearing on the 8th of June, 2020 at 4:00 PM via Zoom Meeting Video Conference. It requires all participants to join the meeting via video conference through Zoom at zoom.us/meetings – Meeting ID# 857-036-9609 Password – “Tigers”.  for the purpose of hearing public comments on the Village of Hudson Falls  community development needs, and to discuss the possible submission of  one or more  Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) applications for the 2020 program year.

The Board and all participants will join the meeting via video conference via Zoom Meeting Video Conference requires all participants to join the meeting via video conference through Zoom at zoom.us/meetings – Meeting ID# 857-036-9609 Password – “Tigers”.   We encourage the public to submit comments in writing by email at hfvillage@villageofhf.com or mail to 220 Main Street, Hudson Falls N.Y. 12839  prior to the meeting. The CDBG program is administered by the New York State Office of Community Renewal (OCR), and will make available to eligible local governments up to approximately 49 million dollars for the 2020 program year for housing, economic development, public facilities, public infrastructure, and planning activities, with the principal purpose of benefiting low/moderate income persons. The Village anticipates submitting applications for grant funds which may include planning, infrastructure, public facilities and housing. 

The hearing will provide further information about the CDBG program and will allow for citizen participation in the development of any proposed grant applications and/or to provide technical assistance to develop alternate proposals. Comments on the CDBG program or proposed project(s) will be received at this time. The hearing is being conducted pursuant to Section 570.486, Subpart I of the CFR and in compliance with the requirements of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended.

LEGAL NOTICE -The Village of Hudson Falls will hold a public hearing on 6/8/2020 at 4:05 pm via Zoom Meeting Video Conference. It requires all participants to join the meeting via video conference through Zoom at zoom.us/meetings – Meeting ID# 857-036-9609 Password – “Tigers” for the purpose of hearing public comment on the Village’s 2018 CBDG Grant-School, Union and Clark Streets Waterline replacement project.  The project received funding in the amount of $750,000.00. 

The CDBG program is administered by the NYS Office of Community Renewal, and provides resources to eligible local governments for housing, economic development , public facilities, public infrastructure, and planning activities, with the principal purpose of benefitting low/moderate income persons.  The hearing will provided further information about the project and provide opportunity for comments related to the effectiveness of administration of the project.  The hearing is being conducted pursuant to §570.486, Subpart I of the CFR and in compliance the Housing & Community Development Act of 1974, as amended.

Public Hearing – Tentative Budget & Regular April Meeting

TAKE NOTICE, that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Hudson Falls, New York, has filed the tentative budget for the fiscal year 2020-21 with the undersigned Village Clerk at her office in said Village and that on the 13th day of April, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. the Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing via Zoom Meeting video conference to consider said budget and to hear the objections of any person in relation thereto.  The regular April meeting will following immediately after the close of the public hearing.

Pursuant to the Governor’s Executive Order the Board all participants will join the meeting via video conference through Zoom at zoom.us/meetings – Meeting ID# 857-036-9609.  We encourage the public to submit written comment in writing by email at hfvillage@villageofhf.com or mail to 220 Main Street, Hudson Falls NY 12839 prior to the meeting.  All comments will be addressed at the meeting.  

The maximum compensation proposed to be paid to each of the Board of Trustees from all sources is as follows:  Mayor – $9,500; Trustees $5,000.
