Paving set to begin soon in the following areas

Please be advised by this notice that the Village of Hudson Falls Department of Public Works has scheduled the following areas to be milled and paved beginning Monday, October 2, 2023, through Friday October 13, 2023:

Notice of Intent to Request Release of Funds

NOTICE OF INTENT TO REQUEST RELEASE OF FUNDS (NOIRROF) July 15, 2019 Village of Hudson Falls 220 Main Street Hudson Falls, NY 12839 (518) 747-5426

On or about July 24, 2019, the Village of Hudson Falls will submit a request to the Office of Community Renewal (OCR) for the release of CDBG funds under Title 1 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, to undertake a project known as “Village of Hudson Falls – School Street Neighborhood Waterline Replacement (CDBG No. 559PW127-128)” for the purpose of replacing deteriorated water infrastructure within portions of Clark Street from N. Oak Street to Union Street, School Street from East Street to Maple Street, and Union Street from Clark Street to Maple Street. Total project costs are estimated at $750,000. The activities proposed are categorically excluded under HUD regulations at 24 CFR Part 58 from National Environmental Policy Act requirements.

An Environmental Review Record (ERR) that documents the environmental determination for this project is on file at the Village of Hudson Falls, 220 Main Street, Hudson Falls, NY 12839, and may be examined or copied weekdays, 8:30 AM to 4 PM. PUBLIC COMMENTS Any individual, group, or agency may submit written comments on the ERR to the Village of Hudson Falls Clerk’s Office. All comments received by July 23, 2019 will be considered by the Village of Hudson Falls prior to submission of a request for release of funds. RELEASE OF FUNDS The Village of Hudson Falls certifies to the Office of Community Renewal that Ellen Brayman in her capacity as Village Clerk consents to accept the jurisdiction of the Federal Courts if an action is brought to enforce responsibilities in relation to the environmental review process and that these responsibilities have been satisfied. The Office of Community Renewal’s acceptance of the certification satisfies its responsibilities under NEPA and allows the Village of Hudson Falls to use Program funds.

OBJECTIONS TO RELEASE OF FUNDS The Office of Community Renewal will accept objections to its release of funds and the Village of Hudson Falls certification for a period of fifteen days following the anticipated submission date or its actual receipt of the request (whichever is later) only if they are on one of the following bases: (a) the certification was not executed by the Certifying Officer of the Village of Hudson Falls; (b) the Village of Hudson Falls has omitted a step or failed to make a decision or finding required by HUD regulations at 24 CFR part 58; (c) the grant recipient or other participants in the development process have committed funds, incurred costs or undertaken activities not authorized by 24 CFR Part 58 before approval of a release of funds by the Office of Community Renewal; or (d) another Federal agency acting pursuant to 40 CFR Part 1504 has submitted a written finding that the project is unsatisfactory from the standpoint of environmental quality. Objections must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the required procedures (24 CFR Part 58, Sec. 58.76) and shall be addressed to Crystal Loffler, Acting President, at Office of Community Renewal, Hampton Plaza, 38-40 State Street, 4th Floor, Albany, NY 12207. Potential objectors should contact the Office of Community Renewal to verify the actual last day of the objection period.

The Village of Hudson Falls has posted two public hearing notices. You can read both below:


VILLAGE OF HUDSON FALLS NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

TO CONSIDER ADOPTION OF LOCAL LAW

 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section 20 of the Municipal Home Rule Law of the Village Law that a public hearing will be conducted by the Village of Hudson Falls Board of Trustees on Monday, April 7, 2014 at 6:10 pm at Village Hall located at 220 Main Street, Hudson Falls NY for the purpose of considering the adoption of Local Law No. 2 of 2014.  LL No. 2 of 2014, as proposed would amend Section 215-62 of the Village Code Zoning “Trash receptacles and dumpsters” to reduce the amount of time allowed for temporary storage in the public right of way from 48 hours to 24 hours.  Written comments on LL No. 2 of 2014 may be submitted to the Office of the Village Clerk until close of the public hearing.  A copy of the proposed local law can be obtained at Village Hall, 220 Main Street, Hudson Falls.

PUBLIC HEARING TENTATIVE BUDGET
 

TAKE NOTICE, that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Hudson Falls, New York, has filed the tentative budget for the fiscal year 2014-15 with the undersigned Village Clerk at her office in said Village and that on the 7th day of April, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. the Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing in Village Hall, 220 Main Street, Hudson Falls New York to consider said budget and to hear the objections of any person in relation thereto.

A copy of said tentative budget is available at the office of the Village Clerk where any person may inspect it during office hours.

The maximum compensation proposed to be paid to each of the Board of Trustees from all sources is as follows:  Mayor – $9,500; Trustees $5,000.
