Sandy Hill Days has been cancelled

Unfortunately, another cancellation to pass along. The Sandy Hill Days Celebration for 2020 has been cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns. The Sandy Hill Days committee posted the following message on their Facebook page:

The Sandy Hill Days event for 2020 has been cancelled due to COVID-19. It was a decision that was not made lightly, but after much deliberation it was determined that there would be no way that we could meet the requirements set forth by the State to hold the event. Our main concern is for the health and safety of everyone involved; committee members, vendors and mostly the community. We hope to bring the event back in 2021. Thank you to all that have supported us for the past 34 years! Stay safe and Stay Healthy!

Some residents to receive waterline replacement surveys

The Village of Hudson Falls has been systematically replacing and improving its water distribution system.  Over the last 6 years the Village has received $3.5 M in funding from the NYS Office of Community Renewal through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program.  This has funded water main replacements on portions of School, Maple, Clark, East, Union, Mechanic, Pearl, Cherry, Mulberry, John, Poplar, and Elizabeth Streets, and Hudson Place.

The Village is again seeking funds to replace water mains on portions of Willow, Beech, and William Streets and Liberty Place.  To be eligible for these grant funds, the Village needs to obtain some basic information on the residents who would benefit from this improvement, including general information on the range of household incomes present in the neighborhood.  Residents of this area will be receiving a mailed survey, please complete and return this survey as soon as possible.
