Notice of Public Hearing before Zoning Board of Appeals

 

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE HUDSON FALLS

 ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS

 

NOTICE IS HERE BY GIVEN pursuant to Article XIV, Chapter 215 Section 215-109 of the Village of Hudson Falls Zoning Law, that the Hudson Falls Zoning Board of Appeals shall conduct a public hearing on October 20, 2014 at 6:00 pm at the Village Hall, 220 Main Street, Hudson Falls, NY to consider a use variance application by Adirondack Machine Corporation. Adirondack Machine Corporation is under contract with Mile Post Four Properties, LLC to purchase 84 Boulevard, Hudson Falls, NY. The Applicant’s proposed use of the property is considered Light Manufacturing which would be deemed a non-conforming use and a change in use from the property’s present use as a warehouse and office space. The property is located in a Zoning District Residence Class A.

 

Plans for the proposal are available at the Village Hall, 220 Main Street, Hudson Falls, New York during regular business hours. Said Zoning Board of Appeals will at said time and place hear all persons in support of such matters or any objections thereto,

Historic marker unveiled for coal silos

On Sunday October 5th, at 1 pm,  a new historic marker was unveiled at the Historic Coal Silos located on Maple Street, Hudson Falls. Paul Loding, Historian for the Village, made a presentation about the significance the five silos and the importance they had on the history of the region.

Once part of the Griffin Lumber Co, the silos are currently owned by the Feeder Canal Alliance.  After the dedication, the silos were open to the public from1-3pm.
